Alabama Respite Alabama Lifespan Respite Resource Network (Alabama Respite) began as a project of United Cerebral Palsy of Huntsville and Tennessee Valley, Inc. (UCP) in 2000 and now is a statewide program whose mission is to increase access to and availability of high quality respite resources for all caregivers in Alabama.

The Self Advocacy Resource and Technical Assistance Center (SAR-TAC) is launching a new website to help fulfill its mission to strengthen self-advocacy for people with disabilities by supporting self-advocacy organizations to grow in diversity and leadership.
 
North Alabama Area
Family Services Center (FSC) provides an array of anti-poverty and family strengthening programs in the greater Huntsville area, including affordable housing, homelessness prevention, job transportation, conflict resolution, financial literacy training, mental health & substance abuse counseling, and parenting support.
 
The Community Free Dental Clinic (CFDC) aims to provide quality FREE dental care and education to low-income, uninsured adult residents of Madison County. In addition to monetary donations we receive office supplies, tooth brushes, tooth paste and dental supplies. The clinic is operated by licensed, volunteer dentists from the local community, licensed nurses. Join the United Cerebral Palsy of HSV & TN Valley for their Parent Group on Mondays and Wednesdays at 9 a.m. for coffee and conversation. They are beginning a new parenting curriculum which focuses on special needs issues and we have some new programs to introduce as well. Parent groups are open to any parents/grandparents or other caregivers of children with special needs.

Balavihar Huntsville-Madison 2017/2018 Enrollment: Balavihar provides children a spiritual and cultural orientation in their formative school years (K to 12) in a loving and joyous atmosphere. Weekly classes on Sunday mornings are held during the regular school year, organized by age groups. Besides Balavihar classes for children, an adult study group meets at the same time for spiritual growth.
